Most people are so focused only in one thing– living life. But, as we know it (but often tend to forget), life is more than just simply living, it is living substantially, to leave a personalized mark on this earth so that when you die, you don’t disappear. It’s just what they usually say, “What you do in your life echos in eternity.”

Leaving a mark doesn’t mean you must be a celebrity or a fallen hero. You just have to make sure you touched as much lives as possible,  and made a difference as big as possible. And of course, don’t ever forget the ones you love and the ones you love you because they’re the ones who will forever remember you. So give them great memories to remember you by.

So live your live to the fullest– there’s nothing wrong with that. But be sure to have a direction and a purpose. People with legacies will never die in the memory of people.

Kris Aquino has always been a prominent lady in the Philippine showbiz industry. Her popularity even increased due to the election of her brother as the president of the country. This year, Kris yet again delivers as the main character of a horror film, Segunda Mano (“Second Hand”), which is also a film entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival—an annual film festival in the metropolis.

As a big fan of horror films, I was a disappointed with Segunda Mano’s plot and over-all impact. Compared to Kris Aquino’s previous movies such as Feng Shui and Sukob, Segunda Mano was dull, predictable, and boring. It was also apparent that the love story part of the movie was rushed and out of place. And it was obvious that there was no chemistry between Kris and her leading man, Dingdong Dantes. In fact, you could almost hear the disgusted reaction from the audience whenever there was kissing scene between the two. The plot was predictable, and the casting sucked big time.

I’ve recently watched a movie entitled “I Don’t Know How She Does It”. It is an inspirational movie about a working mom, Kate, who has great time management skills that she was able to fulfil her duties as a mom and as a financial analyst at her company. Sure, she had some time trouble juggling her two commitments in the middle but she managed to find her balance and she eventually worked things out in the end.

As an working student, I too have the same dilemma of juggling my commitments and having time management schemes. I feel like the mom in the story because my work also entails me to travel so much but good thing I don’t have to cross states for work. But I have to work till 10PM three times a week these days because of company event and I’m finding it hard to find time to study for my classes. The thing is, I want to study when I arrive at home but then I’m too exhausted to do so. Well, classes have just started two months ago so I guess I’m still at the “adjusting period”. I hope to work things out as well, just like Kate. Lord, please help me.

As the cliche goes, all work and no play, makes John a dull boy. Well, this might be very true in a lot of aspects. However, this is definitely not applicable for those who procrastinate more often.
